Well I can't answer for him/her but I know the following:

Winning Alliance: 3505 (Omaha, NE) & 3365 (Crete, NE)
Inspire Award: 3391 (Elkhorn, NE)
Team 3390 (Elkhorn, NE) was Runner-Up Alliance

So team 3390 didn't qualify for the Championship, perhaps they got one of the open slots?
