Team 272, The Cyber-Crusaders, gave us their best robot award in the form of a gold painted PVC sword. At the end of Friday, their entire team surrounded our pit, read the award they were giving us, and kneeled as soon as we accepted the sword.
It was a pretty awesome sight. |

418 does not give out our own awards, but 364 (Fusion) gave us their "Best Defensive Robot" award. It's a really cool design, and, having put all my effort into the drive train, it made me feel really good knowing my work was noticed by other teams.

We actually started giving out awards this year in the 3rd week. The trophies are little miniature racks (sort of) that have 1 leg with a removable ringer.
We give out one for best defense, one for best scorer, one for best ramps, and one for best autonomous. In addition to this, we gave out a 3d solid printout of our Phillip the first aid kit as a safety award. |
