Who has sucessfully utilized camera in competition

Hi Everybody,
I just thought it would be interesting to see how many teams have succesfully used the camera in competition to score a ringer. I'm not so much interested if you planned to use it or wanted to use it or were so close to using it (join the club )but you're welcome to post anyway. Seeing as the season is pretty much over for most teams (not mine, Championship w00t! ) I thought it would be interesting to see who has put the camera to use.

Re: Who has sucessfully utilized camera in competition

CyberBlue (234) use the camera solely for scoring keepers in autonomous. After a few tweaks during boilermaker and early in LI, we can now score consistently in autonomous. We scored in our last 6 elimination matches at LI.

Oh, just realized I should probably reply to my own question...We were planning to use the camera and have code to use it in auto-mode but due to mechanical issues, never got a chance to get it working. Hopefully we will get it for the championship.

Re: Who has sucessfully utilized camera in competition

We were very proud of our autonomous with the 1718 "Fighting Pi" robot.

Once we figured out that it's all relative.... the only time we missed a ringer was when another robot nailed us (nice defensive auton!).

Re: Who has sucessfully utilized camera in competition

Our camera works, but our arm has issues deploying the ringer in the right position. We have gotten fairly close to hitting the rack, check out a few of the qualification videos at Lone Star.

16 and 148 had a working auto many times at Lone Star

Re: Who has sucessfully utilized camera in competition

648 utilized the camera... but not on a regular basis. However, with the ability to calibrate the camera with the light on the playing field in ATL we should score in auton very regularly.

Re: Who has sucessfully utilized camera in competition

2230 was in shher bad luck at the practice day and it wnet through even into the seconed day and we had other issues in our robot to deal with(later to become useless)so we decided to postpone the autonomous time and even to deny it and instead use the autonomous time to get our robot ready to grab a tube from the human player at the chute(the only place we can catch a tube).
