Different Divisions Won

A point of inquiry:

Has any team ever won all four divisions?

Well the first question that should be asked is: how many years have divisions been around?

Re: Different Divisions Won

To the best of my knowledge, nobody has won more than three total.
71 has won Archimedes once (2004), and Newton twice (2001, 2002).
175 has won Galileo once (2003), and Curie twice (2004, 2005).
25 has won Archimedes (2002), Curie (2003), and Newton (2006).
217 has won Curie (2001), and Archimedes twice (2005, 2006).

In addition, Newton and Archimedes are the only two divisions to produce Champions. Newton won in 2001, 2002, and 2005. Archimedes won in 2003, 2004, and 2006.

No. No team has ever even won four divisions. The closest would be the following teams, who all have made three trips to the Final Four.

25 (02, 03, 06)
71 (01, 02, 04)
175 (03, 04, 05)
217 (01, 05, 06)

Re: Different Divisions Won

And this is why Neal is asking. 25 This year are in Galileo - they have a chance to be the first team ever to win each division. Good luck!

Re: Different Divisions Won

We only have one divisional Championship, Galileo in 2003 (#4 AC).

But this would be mathematically impossible for us anyway, because we have been a Galileo team since 2002.

We are keeping our Galileo streak alive! 2002 - 2007.

I have faith in patterns, I'd definitely, hands down, place my bets on 25 pulling it off.

Sorry to nitpick, but didn't the Galileo division only come into being in 2003? If I remember correctly, the 2002 divisions were Archimedes, Curie, Newton and Einstein (there was no separate field for the finals in the Disney era).

You are correct about 2002, but Galileo was part of the original 4 divisions in 2001. In 2001, Einstein was a separate field for finals but regular matches were randomly scheduled on it from all 4 divisions. The elimination of Galileo in 2002 (worst year for no separate field b/c carpet damage) was due to space limitations; just one more sign that we were growing too big for the EPCOT parking lot .
