Re: Newton Discussion - Championship 2007
Team 2265 The Fe Maidens
Name: Rosie the Riveted Dimensions: At ramp- 37” x 27” x 13” (with ramp flat) At highest point-37” x 27” x 36” Weight: 119 lbs. Defense: Our robot is really hard to push around, and is relatively fast. Defense is no problem. Offense: We have both an arm & a ramp. The ramp can fit 2 robots tandem, the arm can score ringers most easily on the bottom row. |

Re: Newton Discussion - Championship 2007
Team 1885
Picture: Picking up a tube (good image of our claw), Two robots on our ramps Robot Class: 5' 110 lb Ramp & Scorer Drivetrain: 6wd skid with 2 motors Speed: We've got an average speed and average torque, don't know f/s or anything. Ground Clearance: 2-3" or so, can't recall (programmer X-D) Arm: Elevator arm with a jointed forearm that goes up and down, Mid-low scorer Extension: 1.5' or so past our robot, give or take. Gripper: pair of wheels Pick up Method: spin wheels to the outside, sucks tubes up. Spin them inwards, spits them out. Ramp: Two ramps and platforms, drop straight sideways, 16 degree incline. Results: Outed in the quarterfinals of both VCU and Vegas. Was seeded 17th at VCU (IIRC), and 7th at Vegas. Strengths: Decent scorer with great ramps. |
