From what I've been told, I'm pretty sure we're going straight to Atlanta. It's a 22 hour ride. But I've never been on a train before, so I'm pretty excited. Except for the fact that we're going to be on the train for almost a full day and there's nowhere to sleep except in the seats.

Re: What time does your flight land in Atlanta? And what day?

I think we should be getting to the hotel around 7-8PM Wednesday - but don't hold me to that
we will be leaving school at noon and will cut it close to get on the plane(knowing my team) - we are rookies this year, any tips?

Nah, you guys are taking the same trains we are.

What's even worse then the 28 hour trip is the fact that no one is really sure how many power outlets there are.

Re: What time does your flight land in Atlanta? And what day?

I don't recommend wearing robotics buttons on the flight. They don't care for people wearing sharp pointy objects.

The CT caravan is leaving around 7am on Tuesday to drive down and arriving around 3pm on Wednesday. (We're old. We stay overnight in a hotel.) All of you flying over PA or TN look out the plane and wave at us!

We have a 4:18pm Wednesday flight out of Boston, to arrive at approx. 7:03 in Atlanta. Just look for 65 tie-dye wearing people walking around.

It's probably not a SWITCH. It's probably just a stop in NYC.
That wouldn't surprise me in the least...

And as far as power outlets go, there's usually two to every seat.
But don't hold me to that...
There is DEFINITELY outlets in seats 19-20 or 22-24
(depending on which way the train is facing).

Also, the power has a tendency to cut in and out,
so you might want to unplug your laptop/whatever you have plugged in,
and wait to re-plug until the power is restored
(it's usually only a few seconds, but it'll save you a power surge!)

Dining car food is VERY expensive, so bring snacks and spare your wallet!

And if anyone has any other questions, PM me, I take the train a lot ~__^

Re: What time does your flight land in Atlanta? And what day?

I sure hope that the weather where all of our friends are coming from up North, allows their flights, trains, cars and buses to leave for Atlanta.

Re: What time does your flight land in Atlanta? And what day?

Exploding Bacon and Windermere Prep are sharing a bus up to Atlanta. It should be fun. We leave at noon so we can get there in time to uncrate. Hit the hotels by 9:30-10:00

Re: What time does your flight land in Atlanta? And what day?

We arrive at penn station on train 280, and we leave 2 hours later on train 19. We've been looking up the train info online, we either have a new train with outlets in every seat, or a older train with like 4 to a car.

Re: What time does your flight land in Atlanta? And what day?

MOE is leaving the Philly airport at 9:30, arriving about 11:30. Beware - they wear the green team shirt while traveling. And there will be about 70 students, mentors, parents, siblings and alumni on the same flight. Wearing green. Bring your sunglasses.

yeah i wasnt thinking when i said that.. and its not like anyones going to be on the same flight, cuz even though we get in at roughly the same times we come from different places (particularly non-stop flights from a small state, such as my team)

Re: What time does your flight land in Atlanta? And what day?

Leave - 10:30 pm Tuesday
Arrive - 5:30 am Wednesday

Why - 100 and 1458 were the last two teams in the WORLD to qualify for the championship event... We had to take what we could get...
