Re: 2007 Indiana Robotics Invitational
Ahh the delima. The arm that we took to competition was an over engineered beast that was painfully slow. My dad and I came up with a design that would make for a better arm. The leaders of our team "generously" allowed us to strip down last year's chassis to build the design. The problem is that we have a 2006 OI & RC and we have lots of 06 parts on the robot pending we finish this design the chances of it working better than the current arm are huge and we will most definitely want to use it at IRI. Would the older parts be acceptable or not. The OI and RC are not all that hard to switch out but since we lose our NASA grant buying a new set is kindof out of our price range. I'm looking for a solution any ideas? I think I will cry if our robot has the same arm on it as at the Boilermaker and Milwaukee.
