Re: CURIE Discussion - 2007 Championship

Just wanted to say congratulations to all the Curie teams, Curie is ALWAYS the field to be on at the Championship.

A couple special shoutouts -

Thanks to team 599 (whom didn't even have a FRC team at the Championships) and team 1114 for their extensive efforts with 1617 which enabled them to have a running robot to play with. Because of you guys, not a single team was unable to compete on Curie.

Team 612 - You guys are awesome, I had a great time inspecting your robot (even when you guys made me autograph it That signature might be worth something some day)

Team 330 - Amazing performance this year, and not just at the Championships. Winning 2 regionals and a Championship division says something about you guys. Especially with such a simple arm. Awesome job, we'll see you next year at the CA regionals. (I was expecting you guys to give those other 3 fields a run for their money on Einstein, but we couldn't let you guys win too many championships, can we? ) Oh, and Elijah .. you're crazy.

Team 365 - I was a bit worried during your inspection, but was glad to see you got all the kinks worked out and made it into the final matches. Congratulations on the Chairmans Award, you guys really deserved that. Can't wait to see what you come up with next year! Was cool talking to you Lucas, been waiting to meet you for awhile.

Team 180 - SPAM! My personal favorite this year - I loved the ramps, but the arm was awesome - I saw pictures of it, but didn't understand how it worked until I saw it, very cool. Was really disappointed to see your final ranking, with the random qualification paring, you sometimes get the short end of the stick. I was expecting you guys to get picked second round, but it doesn't always work out that way. Sorry about the miscommunication on the flag holder, I know you guys got tired of me with my clipboard in your pit Tell Scott I said hi, and that he owes me a SPAM shirt . (edit - hah! I just realized that I have 180 posts .. hehe)

I could go on for hours with all the teams, but I'm going to stop here. All you guys on Curie were just awesome. Can't wait to see you guys again next year, only 364 more days till the next Championships in ATLANTA! (for those of you who don't know .. 04/16/08 - 04/19/08 )
