Thank You 1126 And 229

I would just like to thank the Sparx for picking us for there alliance and 229 for being just plain awesome, thank you for the most awesome time I had at championships yet (only my sophomore year), even though we lost in quarter finals i still think we should have been the winners. We played well together and i can’t wait till next year.

Re: Thank You 1126 And 229

We were glad to be alligned with you guys - definitely an awesome team. I thought it was pretty cool how our alliance was entirely from New York. And also, thanks to SparX for choosing us, too. We all had a great time.

I was very excited to see you three play together. Heres to more alliances like yours in the future!

Re: Thank You 1126 And 229

Thanks alot Sparx and Division by Zero.

Considering we faced 229 in the FLR finals in 2005 and 2006 as well as Sparx twice since 2006, it was pretty surreal being paired with you guys.

It was also awesome getting to know everyone a little bit better. Thanks again to all and we'll see you guys at the Ruckus.

We were so pumped in the stands when you all got picked. 3 of our favorite teams on the same alliance = awesome. We cheered loud and proud for you.

Re: Thank You 1126 And 229

What a great way to end the season. Three teams from FLR teaming up.

I wish we would have gotten the chance to use our ramps in competition, they worked so well on the practice field.

On a side note, 2228, I said it before and I'll say it again: You guys are going far, keep up the good work.

Re: Thank You 1126 And 229

I must say you guys definitely made the matches exciting for sure. Yeah the pairing of even 2 xerox teams were very rare in any competition thus far. Having all 5 Xerox sponsored teams at the same Division won't probably ever happen again.

Congratulations on a strong showing this season! Teams should get together more seeing how we have alot of common ties if you think about it.

Do your seven degrees of Kevin Bacon on each of our teams.

For example- I started the SparX team a few years ago but I mentored Adrienne Emerson who lead 229 and am friends with JVN and KimO'Toole who founded 229.

Re: Thank You 1126 And 229

I wasn't able to make the nationals, but was SOOO psyched to see the three teams partner in the tourneys. All three teams did VERY well all season, and were once again competitive at the national level. More importantly, I am sure all three teams did so with excellent sportsmanship and gracious professionalism. You should be VERY proud of another great season.

Re: Thank You 1126 And 229

It was awesome like everyone has said that we were all together.
i am the scouting lead mentor and i knew that this was coming, looking at our picking list but i was still so excited because it was sparx and xcats being on an alliance together in elimination rounds EVER!!
i was and still am so proud of all three field teams.
we were the alliance on galileo. we had two really good scorers and one hybrid bot who i would have loved to climbed, but we had to play a team that knew how to stop us. [not to mention they had 14 wheels and 6 motors haha]
So thank you X-cats and 229 for being great alliance partners. great job at FLR and Buckeye[xcats]. this was alot better then playing against one another in buckeye in quarterfinals.
and thank you 2228 for cheering with/for us!!!

as a side note.......
Sparx-you should all be proud of what we accomlished. yes we didnt win a regional or galileo but look how far we came from week 5!!!! it was all the teamwork and commitment you students have that we succeed and dont quit even when it gets tough. thats what FIRST really is about, not the winning but what you get out of it, everything you learn, and everyone you meet and become friends with.
Take everything you learned from this season that went right and those things that went wrong, and just next season step it up and make those things better.
you are awesome students and people...im so proud to be your mentor!!!

Re: Thank You 1126 And 229

Dylan and the rest of the crew on 1126. Thank you for picking us. It is a shame of some of the calls that were made on the field (especially after the call on Einstein) but we did as best as we could under the circumstances. Your robot was once again a quality machine as it has been for many years now. Great job and good scouting.

X-Cats it was good working with you (considering we haven't been on an eliminations allaince with you until now)

Now onto next year

229, 1126, 191 alliance for FLR anyone???

Re: Thank You 1126 And 229

Trust me everyone it was a pleasure working with all of you, finally with the X-Cats! i had hoped to/expected to go further but oh well we did our best with what was dealt to us. One tube here or there would have made all the difference. It was great getting to know everyone so much more! i look forward to seeing everyone again!
