Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

Today at Bob's Big Boy, our check number was 1070. Then, just outside in the parking lot, the first car I saw had number 599 as part of the license plate.

Both of these numbers are the same as the teams I've worked with.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

In my Spanish classroom, my teacher had a board that she puts imporant dates and other info on.
We have block scheduling and the day I have her on, she has prep first block so her board says:
B (Blue day) 2,3,4:
I thought it was so cool; but I just noticed it for the first time today.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

I see team numbers all the time. Sometimes I have to operate a Register at a Grocery store. Does that count? On three consecutive orders a few weeks ago the customers totals were "330, 968, 1622"

I was confused.

After purchasing a slice of cheesecake, my change was $16.83. Unfortunately, I dropped it on the floor before I got to eat any. I thought it would be a bad sign the week before Championships, but the robot thankfully stayed intact.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

Yeah I've noticed my number, team 234 everywhere too. We have these digital clocks all over the school and everytime it becomes 2:34, I think of robotics. I also notice our opponent numbers: like the other day I was taking an Algebra II test when I noticed that I got solutions of 5, 4, and 5. Making me think of our Long Island alliance partners!

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

We get to see 108 printed in huge letters at almost every stadium that we go to , for 108 is most likely always the title for Level 1, Section 8. At the Florida Regional, we always sit there...it's like our permanent spot. When we were in Las Vegas a few weeks ago, the bus that ran along the street across from our hotel was Route 108, and even more recently, on our flight back from Atlanta, the flight after us was flight 108, so it was displayed largely at baggage claim. Besides all of that, a lot of us cheer a little bit on the inside when its 1:08am.

Other team members and I always text each other during the day at school and plan meetings in the hallways at 1:26 pm... yea we're bad

Oh and check out this site: www.funnysign.com
Not only is it funny, but look at how many pictures of signs they have up. I went on this site like literally 10 minutes after reading some of this thread. To say the least I was mildy freaked out....

So that was your team that my parents were complaining about at 10:30... They said that there was a lot of cheering at the Braves game. I am kidding about the 10:30 part, but I'm sure they heard you guys once or twice.

In my accounting class I encounter many team numbers, including ours, but I guess it's nothing special when you are going through 100 random numbers during a day.
