Wins*2 + ties = match qualifying points (QPs)
The loser's score in a match = Match Ranking Points (RPs). Teams are ranked first by their QPs, then in the case of tied QPs, they are ranked by their average RP. However, I'm not sure if it is meaningful to compare the results in one division to the results in another. To take an extreme example: a team that places 40/80 in a championship division probably has a higher-quality robot than a team that placed 40/80 at a regional, but your method would rank them the same. There can be great variation among divisions. |
