Re: Your Best Robot
Without a doubt I will say our 2005 robot, which has no name other than "the '05 bot".
Aside from winning the PWN regional that year (with 492 and 1595), it still remains as our toughest robot ever built. It is built like a tank and we can always count on it to be able to drive when we need it, while our 2006 and 2007 robots have had problems. It still lives on in this year's chassis, and will likely continue to be that way for a long time. It was designed for pushing rather than speed, but that was perfect when capping tetras. It also marked the first year of our signature lightning bolt wheels, in 2005 and in 2006. The greatest thing of all is that it became our most recognizable robot after we added a t-shirt launcher onto the robot for our high school homecoming football game. |
