I'm surprised I didn't see any robots dead-reckoning for the side of the rack...there's so little sideways variation caused by rotating the rack (about 6 inches I think) that you should be able to score a nontrivial percentage of attempts by charging forward and slamming the tube into the spider foot.
I never had a chance to try out this autonomous at competition though, so correct me if I'm wrong. |
