The IRI talent show has quite an impressive history.

There have been these sorts of acts:

singers (very good, and very bad)
pianists
unicyclists with a dancing FISH BOY
a master of the bull whip
an expert banjo picker
poets
rappers
community tooth brushers (aka: water conservationists),
contortionists
bands (yes, the DS&K band got their start at the 2004 IRI)
skits
upside-down Mt. Dew chugging
comedians

My wife and kids look forward to seeing the IRI talent show each year. It is a fun, family show that gives people a chance to see the other talents FIRSTers have.

However... you can't just get up on stage and go. You gotta go through an approval process, managed by Ryan Dognaux. Check out his post earlier in this thread for detail of how to apply.

All contestants must take heed, as there is a judging panel, armed with white boards. Sometimes, the judges can get a bit harsh. For instance, last year's introduction of FISH BOY was a tough act to follow. If someone in a later act was not so good, the judges wrote "bring back FISH BOY".

This year's IRI talent show should be the best yet. I can't wait!
