MOE 365 recently visited the state houses of PA and Delaware where the students who are residents of those states received citations for winning Chairman's Award. We unfortunately couldn't take pictures at the PA statehouse but the local newspaper covered the visit: http://www.pennlive.com/patriotnews/...530.xml&coll=1

The congressman who represents Cybersonic's district came up to talk with us. He is very proud of Team 103! Another congresswoman also spoke to us and said how she was persuaded to attend the Drexel event this year and loved it. I don't remember her name or district - anyone out there from the team who invited her?

(I wasn't at the DE event so someone correct me if I got any of the following wrong)

At the DE visit the team first spent some time with Governor Minner and was able to talk about the program with her - see

Next the robot was demonstrated to the DE Senate:

where the students went individually to the podium and introduced themselves, their school and what were their future plans. In this picture the person sitting behind Shannon (MOE's new Team President) is John Carney, who is Lt Governor and most likely governor in 2008. The team led the Senate in a MOE cheer as well.

I think these two event went a long way to promote FIRST in the two states, particularly DE.
