I have my iPod Nano set to manually manage music as well, but I found another way to access the music on the iPod. If you go into Windows Explorer, then go into Folder Options, check the "Show Hidden Files" option. Then go to "My Computer", then whatever you named your iPod, then go into the hidden "iPod_Control" folder, then the "Music" folder.

All the music on your iPod will be in here in subfolders, just with random names like FLXC.mp3. (But all the important iD3 info about the file is still there.)
