IRI...

This is the first time we (or any Israeli team for that matter) are participating in an off season event.

973's going to Cal Games this year. It will be our first ever offseason event. Can anyone tell us what to expect?

lots of fun!

I haven't been to Cal Games but I'm guessing it's like most off-season events.
The main differences between an off-season competition and a regional are:

-Only one day (sometimes 2)
-No inspections
-No chairmans award or safety award
-Lots of teams have less experienced drivers
-More relaxed (no pressure to qualifying for the championships)
-There is often a human player contest (this is fun)
-Some events make a small change to the game

Other than that it's a lot like a regional event.

2, usually
BattleCry @ WPI
Bash at the Beach

we usually dont do battlecry because it directly intersects with our exam schedule, but when we can, we do.

Currently, Cyber Blue is definitely going to be at the IRI and we might go to another off-season event.

Re: how many off-season events for your team?

IRI - been there since the first one in the T-Kats gymnasium minus a year or two where we had conflicts.

Can't wait!! 72 teams?? As Paul Copioli always says, "Are you kidding me?!"

Re: how many off-season events for your team?

1089 this year is doing/has done:

Monty Madness
Duel on the Delaware
Brunswick Eruption

Ramp Riot is in the air for us right now since it's the weekend before BE. Doesn't look like we'll make it to Battle O' Baltimore this year - that's a summer scheduling issue. But I think three is pretty decent!
