Re: iPhone
It looks like garbage, and technologically speaking, it is garbage. None of this is revolutionary. It's when Apple sticks "i" in front of whatever it is they're making, fanboys fall all over it. I await the day they come out with iJunk.

Re: iPhone
I saw the iPhone at work on friday. Its amazing, I'm not going to lie. The only serious problem I have with it is its price. If it were $300-$400, then I would probably have one.. and for every reason other than needing to make phone calls.

Re: iPhone
I went phone shopping yesterday, kind of. I was thankful that my family has the Sprint family plan and that I'm not going to be persuaded into buying one of these things. I like my Razr, although a lot of people have problems with them. I'm looking at getting one of those phones that has the MP3 player on one side and the phone on the other side, eventhough I've got an iPod (also looking to upgrade that, too).

Re: iPhone
I am not going to lie, the Iphone is pretty sick. But i just don't Think I am going to invest in one. First off to much money, working for the state of Florida doesnt pay to much. Second, I just read an article today (forget were) says that the battery only last 300-400 charges. Since you cant change the battery yourself you have to send it to apple and pay $70 for a new batter plus shipping and handle and be without your phone for at least 3 business days. And finallly third, the state pays for my phone so I dont think think they will dish out the money.

http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html "A properly maintained iPhone battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity after 400 full charge and discharge cycles. You may choose to replace your battery when it no longer holds sufficient charge to meet your needs." Difference between 80% and 0%. |

Even though 400 recharges doesn't sound like that much, consider this. With 8 hrs talk time or 6 hrs Internet or 24 hours of audio playback per recharge, using your iPhone for 1-2 hours per day (mixed use) would result in needing to recharge the batteries about twice per week. With 52 weeks per year, that's 104 recharges per year. Even if your iPhone will still retain 80% of its battery life after 400 recharges, that's almost four years later. ![]() Unless you are a extreme power user who watches a feature-length movie, browses the web for hours, and makes dozens upon dozens of calls every day, your shouldn't have to worry about replacing your iPhone battery anytime soon. |

Re: iPhone
The funny thing is that I went into an Apple Store thinking that it was going to be this great piece of electronics that I would be near inseparable from, but when I got on it, I wasn't even impressed. I went to the first one that was available and tried to open safari, but it went right back to the home screen. It did this with anything that I tried on it. I asked a mac guy why it was doing this and he said because the applications are crashing. Usually I am a Mac fan boy, but this was just as bad as windows. I was not one bit impressed with the intelligent keyboard either. I "trusted" it when I was typing and almost everything came out wrong. I actually sent an email from one of these recently and had to send a new one because I didn't proofread the first time and sent it, but boy I wish I would have. It was terrible. As far as I am concerned, my cheep $50 cell phone does better than the iPhone. And I have an iPod, so I am set.

The other thing that surprised me is that the blended iPhone on Ebay is already up to a $570 bid! That's quite an expensive bid for a $400 Blendtec blender and the remains of an iPhone. ![]() |

Re: iPhone
I'm not sure why someone would buy a blended iPhone, but I would appreciate if someone buys my EBAY auction.
Apple iPhone Hard Case Design with Prototype for SALE http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...5349&rd=1&rd=1 I'm looking for some input on trying to sell it on EBAY. I figured the easiest way to go about selling my idea was through EBAY and so thats what I decided to do. |

Re: iPhone
Huh, I should have known there would be an iPhone thread here...
I was about to post the "Will it blend?" video, but I'm pretty sure it's been posted in one of these 6 pages. People do have mixed reactions about it though. |
