Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #159
Standing in the darkness.....
Nameless Guy #1: "Uh, guys? Perhaps a showtunes montage wasn't the best idea for a Canadian Regional Talent Show act? This is the last time we take singing lessons from Karthik!!!" Girl: "I blame Derek's choreography tips myself...." Anonymous Dude #2: "I think I hear crickets." (Tip for Rookie Captioners - Whenever afflicted by Captioner's Block, resort to Old Reliable Caption Theme #1.) Last edited by Travis Hoffman : 26-07-2007 at 08:59. |

Really? I thought that Old Reliable Caption Theme #1 involved picking two or three from Dave, Heidi, Krispy Kremes, and Photoshop. |

And in the 12th year, there was AUTONOMOUS. Time separated the GAME into two firmaments. In the first, the Stage Crew was beholden to gaze upon the FIELD in amazement while Student Programmers gnashed their teeth.

Practicing for the up and coming IRI talent show these students decided to renact the wizard scene for the Wizard of Oz.
Wizard: "Scarecrow, what is it you want?" Scarecrow: "I would like a brain so I can figure out next years game." Wizard: "Tin Man, what is it you want?" Tin Man: "I would like the heart to be Gracious Professional." Wizard: "Cowardly Lion, what do you want?" Lion: "I would like the courage to kick Team 71's bot." Wizard: "Dorthy, what do you seek" Dorthy: "I would like to find a way out of this horrible play." |

Kid in blue: *looking at the red* Did I miss a memo here? Oh well.. nevermind. *clears throat* BEAM US UP, ANDY!
<not part of entry> Yea, I read it was the Canadian Regional, but, coming from the girl that devoted an entire poem to poking fun at Andy Baker, I just couldn't resist... the syllables fit... </not part of entry> |

While it's usually the drive team that forgets the robot, this is a rare photograph of a drive team having been left on the playing field by the robot.
Don't worry the Field Reset volunteers will soon clean up this mess... or Jess will have her clipboard out! ![]() |

Extreme Drive Team Practice, Day One: Preventing Foot Faults.
Relatively inexperienced, they've yet to master the "Hawaii 5-0 surfing pose". |

mechanic: "Why does the autonomous mode involve the robot disassembling itself and bursting into flames?"
programer: "It doesn't. Why couldn't you build the bot so it would stay together and no catch on fire?" mechanic: "We did. This is definately a software problem." programer: "No this is definately a hardware probem." mechanic: "No... This could last all day |

1 of 4: We have adapted to their new strategy.
2 of 4: Their defense is weak, they will fail. 3 of 4: Apply the final devastating blow and be begin assimilation. 4 of 4: Resistance is futile. With their collective consciousness, Code Red successfully controlled their robot on the field with psychokinesis. (A Trekkie fan entry) |

"What are those kids staring in awe at? Well, up on the big-screen is a rather humorous image involving Dave Lavery and Krispy Kremes. Sources close to the scene blame Heidi and Photoshop."
<not entry>Yep... I have so much Captioner's Block right now, that I actually spent an hour searching for that site.</not entry> |
