Dear members of the FIRST community;

Due to the low number of teams signing up to participate in the WMRI off-season event, we have made the (tough) decision to cancel.

Hosting a quality event is a priority to our planning committee. We would rather back away from the venture this year than to host an event that we felt would not meet the expectations of the teams choosing to attend. Although we had enough teams to create various alliance pairings we did not feel that there would be enough variation of pairings to justify travel and lodging expenses for non-area teams.

Our intention is to host an off-season event next summer/fall. More information will be available mid September.

We appreciate the gracious offers to volunteer, and the interest and support shown by many.
