Re: pic: New wheel CAD

Craig Hickman; Fastest CADer on the West Coast.

.289 seems really light, is this a 4? (if that's a 1/2" hex, that seems about right)

I can't really tell from the pic, is there a tread lip on both sides? dimensions of that? (Mine was 1/16"x1/16" and it seems to be enough)

Do you guys broach or EDM the hex?

Re: pic: New wheel CAD

We're gonna broach it, mainly because we don't have access to a EDM.

Yep, it's a 4 inch wheel, and there's a lip on both sides, 1/16th by 1/16th. We've used that size lip for the last 3 years with amazing success (as in never needing to change out the roughtop for the entire season!)

I've always wondered if I am the fastest... in FIRST at least. Maybe we should have some sort of competition...

A competition might be fun. Of course, I do this stuff for a living, so I have to be fast.
