**FIRST EMAIL**/Get Ready for 2008 FRC Event Registration!

Greetings Teams:

We hope you have had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to another season of fun and challenge with us in 2008! In preparation of next month's event registration, we want to share with you the following:

The 2008 FRC Regional Events Schedule is available at: http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/regionalevents.aspx?id=430
The 2008 Calendar of Important Deadline Dates is available at: http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=454
Event Registration Date and Start Time:

Event Registration will start on October 1st, 2007 at 12:00 noon EDT and will close on December 3rd, 2007 at 5:00 pm EST. Event Registration will take place via theTeam Information Management System (TIMS) located at https://my.usfirst.org/frc/tims/site.lasso

During this phase of registration you may register for:

1. An Initial Regional Event (i.e., one regional event only)
2. The Championship event IF you are a pre-qualified team or a veteran team who did not compete at the 2007 Championship (CMP). A full description of the 2008 Championship Critieria can be found at http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=944

Please make sure you are ready for event registration by verifying your Pre-registration information in TIMS is complete. The Pre-registration areas of:

1. Team Information
2. Team Contacts
3. Partner Organizations

must be filled in and exhibit green check marks in the associated status columns. Once all of these areas are complete, there will be a green check mark next to "Pre-registration" located in the "Required Registration Areas to Complete" area of the Team Summary Page (upper left-hand corner.) This check mark is your signal you are Good-To-Go for event registration!

**IMPORTANT** You will not be able to register for an event unless the information in the Pre-registration section is complete - so please check today!
