Question EasyC 2.0 on parallels vs vmware fusion (vs wine?)

Hello,

I am now the head of the Vex team at my school. I am a Mac user (have always been one), and now need EasyC to run on my machine. Has anyone tried using EasyC on Parallels, vmware's Fusion, or even the free and open source Wine?
I will probably end up buying one or the other, but which has worked best for all of you? (especially with the USB-Serial interface)
