Don't you just love how the game design committees always come up with open-ended challenges? That allow us to think of lots of different strategies, offensive and defensive moves? That allow us to play in the game, regardless of our skillsets, rookies and veteran teams alike? Kudos to the committee for volunteering their time and energy so that we can all have a great time playing Quad Quandary!

Yeah... this looks like one of the most interesting challenges yet. So many options, so many ways for teams to work together... so many ways for it to all go sideways! In fact, right now I am sitting here trying to figure out how to build a robot to play this game... one of the things I love about VEX is that I can afford to build my own robot at home while my students build theirs at school. Then once they have built their robots I can bring mine in and actually get to play some matches with them on the practice field.

In fact Q.Q. is a good enough game that I'd like to play this with the big robots... perhaps using old car tires as the game pieces.

That would be interesting, but who knows. We could be playing a big Quad Quandary later this year as the official FRC game.
