No you can't get DQ'd for drilling speed holes. In most cases you lose very little weight, and weakens the structure of what you are "swiss cheesing", therefore it's not a good solution to losing weight. You see alot of teams doing this when they are 5 pounds over weight, when they can be spending thier time better by looking at what they can take off. I know full well what speed holes are, I was just confused by the fact that Mike said that they are a major concern to judges in inspection.

As for posting that in the Q&A section, it's not really nearly important enough require a thread of it's own, I was just curious about it because it struck me as amusing.
