Posted on 3/28/99 10:04 PM MST In Reply to: Re: Competition Arenas at EPCOT posted by Kate Leach on 3/28/99 8:49 PM MST: Let's do a little math to see how it works out: last year: 3 arenas, 2 fields per arena, 3 bots per field, for a total of 18 bots (assuming all of the matches were at play at once, which doesn't happen) ends up being about 9 at a time, with 6 bots on deck per arena for the next matches this year: 2 arenas, 2 fields per arena, 4 bots per field, total 16 bots max possible 8 robots in play at one time, 8 on deck per arena i think it helps the logistics out to have 2 arenas instead of 3, but visibility is going to be an issue from the nosebleed section. not even the video feed will be visible... and with the touchiness of the scoring in this game, well, let's just hope the refs are getting faster at scoring matches... |
