Re: 2008 Chesapeake Regional
We had to withdraw to enter our hometown regional, but by the looks of things, it looks like we will be able to squeeze in on Nov.8 as there are 2 spots left.
For me, that's 6am sharp when I try to add the event.![]() |

Re: 2008 Chesapeake Regional
2199 will be attending. We're waiting to pay until the NASA grant winners are announced though; no matter what we will be attending though. It should be good times if anything like last year. We're going to be trying out a new scouting system and showing our new members what a regional is actually like. Hopefully the power won't go out again.

Re: 2008 Chesapeake Regional
Hellooooo From the North East
May all the participants of FIRST and the Chesapeake Regional have a happy, healthy New Year from Team 88, TJ2. We are resting up for the release of the '08 game and looking forward to another challenge. We will be returning to the Chesapeake Regional again because of the great friendships and competition the last time that we were there. It is great to be on the Naval campus and see the historic buildings. What a great atmosphere for a super tournament. Looking forward to making many more friends and this learning experience for all. Until then, rest up because the tie dye team will be on their way. oh Yeah ??? OH YEAH !!!! Good luck to all. MOE and Team 88, TJ2 ![]() |

Re: 2008 Chesapeake Regional
To Robomom and others who have participated in the past:
1. How can we confirm that we completed the vehicle forms for entering the USNA? I did this back in October and just printed a copy of what i submitted. Is this sufficient to show the guard when entering, along with ID, etc. 2. The instructions were to drop team members off at the gate if using a personal vehicle. How far is the walk to the arena if you have a personal vehicle? We may have some members doing this. Can someone provide some tips on how they enter daily and what kind of delays should we expect? Thanks, Hawaiian Kids ![]() |

I will have lots of info for you about the bus procedures and forms, the shuttle bus process, and about walking onto the "Yard." Let me get through everything that needs to be done for our kickoff and then I'll start posting the updates on the Chesapeake website and sending all the details to the team contacts in the next couple of weeks.Halsey Field House is right next to Gate 1 where walk-ons can be dropped off and need to pass through security. Thanks. |

Re: 2008 Chesapeake Regional
Everyone always seems to forget that their are two major colleges in Annapolis. Sure, no one at St. John's is an engineer per se, but we are still (I humbly submit) one of the most important colleges in the U.S. Message me if you want a tour or description of our 309 year old institution. Our campus is a beautiful place to chill whenever you have a chance. We destroy the USNA at basically everything.

Sign up here (and be sure to designate CHESAPEAKE) https://my.usfirst.org/vims/logon.lasso?page=logon Lots of positions still open. Student Volunteers: We will be requesting student singers and student ambassadors. [More details to come] Team Social: There is no team social scheduled for the Chesapeake Regional but the planning committee is still investigating. See you in Annapolis! |

Furthermore, it is a mistake to look at the authors of our entire curriculum as white. On just the basic reading list for the first year, we have such non-Europeans as Homer, Herodotus, Aristophanes, and Galen. And the first year is supposed to be exclusively Greek. Anyhow, anyone who is interested in broadening their horizons outside of what textbooks and professors of science and engineering tell you about the humanities should drop by.
