More than that, I think that most teams can pick out the great teams. You seem to feel that what ever happens, then that is the 'best' team. I disagree. It is very easy to construct a system that does not let the cream rise to the top. I think that it is in the long term best interest of the game to have the teams that are generally agreeed to be great do well. If FIRST allows too many cinderella stories, then I think that the incentive to try to be one of best is largely destroyed. I have not seen all the teams, but I can say that something is wrong if we get to FL and Wildstang, Beatty/Hammond, & Baxter/Mountain Home have not risen to the top. Joe J. |
