This isn't exactly overdosed, but sorta
...you go to visit a college and manage to find another FIRST student there and go on to talk about robots until leaving

when thinking of a last min halloween costume, the first thing that pops up into your mind is to just wear a ringer...
when doing history prjts, robotics team numbers pop up at least 3 times and only other robotics members get it and laugh...

Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

...Your desktop background consists of interlocked pieces of 8020.
...English class? Who needs english class? To the shop instead!
...You've decided that a physics demonstration involving a cannon just isn't good enough. The cannon must be attached to a robot.
...You've actually attached the cannon to the robot, and driven the "tank" around school.
...You've made a bracelet/necklace/jewelry out of 8020, and given it to your girlfriend/significant other.
...You haven't seen your study hall teacher since the first day of school. He knows you'll be in the shop.
...The Aim High competition ended more than a year ago, but the Aim High robot isn't quite finished yet.
...You carry a complete toolkit of everything you'd need to wire a robot, should the need suddenly arise somewhere between calculus and physics class.

when youve used needle nose pliers to smooth down your fingernails after roughing them up while working on the robot (no joke, they actually work really well.)

Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

You know you're overdosed on FIRST when you convince your English teacher to give you extra credit for going to robotics competitions. She gives extra credit for "supporting your fellow students" by going to stuff like football games, school musicals, etc, so I told her about FIRST and got it counted. So I got extra credit for Cal Games a few weeks back.

You know you're overdosed on FIRST when you convince your girlfriend to look for a prom dress in your team color so you can wear your team color to prom.

Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

-when you've been lurking on this website since April and this is your first post!
-when the first big AP Biology report is due tomorrow, it's 2am, and you're on this forum reading the posts (I turned the lab report in, luckily, but stayed up until 4am to finish it)
-when part of the RNA transcription video in AP Bio looks like the FIRST logo!

Probably more to come!

Well, we did the test today. Obviously Kia never referred to FRC rules before building their hatch. Next year's robot needs to be 1/8" shorter. Yes, that much. We had to use someone else's car to transport the robot.

when you write all of your college application essays about FIRST

when you start two of them, "I keep a screwdriver in my purse," and it's true
