You know what! I didn't have the option to wait... my mom is OBSESSED with class rings and was so excited to design mine, that I had to order then. I'm remaking mine so i have it back for graduation.

My school follows this whole tradition of ring turns, but now i know what jerk *cough* Graham *cough* who WON'T be one of my 108 turns (or however many I'm supposed to do).

Zara- I called Jostens and mentioned that I had heard they used the logo before (here on CD, someone posted last year that they got it through Jostens). It wasn't named as the FIRST logo, but I described the logo to them, and after about a day, they came back to me with it.

It took a lot of nudging (and just a little bit of name-dropping), but they let me have it on my ring, and assured us it would be in the book, since they had heard from so many teams.

Yay!

All the descriptions in the world couldn't help me... I even e-mailed them a picture of it because their competitor, Balfour, was offering it and I, too, had heard they had it somewhere. But, alas, they were less than helpful and I will be using my one remake to get it on there cause I no longer do cheerleading...

You couldn't possibly be talking about me or Tamara, right...?

It would be really nice if Jostens did the FIRST Logo for the Yearbook, too. There are a series of other representational symbols, such as animals, religion and sports. Certainly Robotics may be the most worthwhile "activity" (I mean 'way of life') in which I participate in high school.

No, of course not. I was thinking of that other girl, the one who keeps a running countdown of the days until the FRC kickoff and writes limericks about the build season, the off-season, and everything in between...

Actually, I already emailed Jostens to ask about the FIRST Logo for their yearbooks. I got an auto-response but have not heard back from an actual person yet. I'll let everyone know if I have any luck, just in case other teams are interested.

I just ordered my class ring from Dunham's last week. I couldn't find the FIRST logo, but I managed to get a robot on my ring.

Looks nice, I agree with the champions getting rings thing, I think that would be pretty cool, because then you could wear it everyday and everyone wouldn’t be wondering why you have a medal around your neck

Post Re: pic: FIRST RING

Now first of all very sweet ring designs!! I got to get one of those. Getting those to a champion team would be awesome, (sort of a Superbowl ring huh?) that way those who won are sure not to be forgotten!
Now secondly (not tryin' to be a complainer here) our high school doesn't really recognize that our town has a robotics team. Last year we were a rookie team, got second place, and all that was in our paper was a two paragraph article about FIRST(not too bad I guess) and two sentences about our team(nothing about our win though )!(Nor was there anything in our year book. We may be a team made of different high schools but at least one gave us a practice field last year!
(This would probably be better in a different thread but what would anyone suggest I do about this?)
P.S.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE RINGS!!!!

Re: pic: FIRST RING

I was so happy to see that Jostens had FIRST as an option for rings.
Championship rings are less expensive than class rings, our marching band and football both won state this year, and got rings. the band rings were only $150, and they were really really nice. You could probably get your sponsors to chip in some money (especially if you are a winning team) and get that reduced.
my only question is what else to put on my ring? my second favorite activity is math team, which, surprisingly, is not an option. maybe I will put FIRST twice
