Go to Post A wrench isn't a nesscary part is it? Last Night, we tested the robot and a large, (yes I said LARGE) wrench fell from somewhere on the robot....Along with bolts, nuts, and a very interestingly cut piece of Aluminum... - Will Bale [more]

Has everyone seen the new competition schedule? I am happy that we will be getting in some serious driving time. I am a little bummed that it will cut into our going to the parks time. I know parks schmarks, but our team bought enough passes to cover 4 days. Now we won't get to use them. Is anyone else in this same boat? Can you return these unused passes, or are they good untill a later date?

One thing's for sure, this competition is much more exciting than the parks! But I definitely understand your concern, 'cuz it's no fun to spend money unnecessarily.

To answer your question, I had an extra day on my pass from the '97 competition and was able to use it in '98, so yeah, they do keep a while. I believe it's a year from the day it's issued, but I'm not completely sure. Something on the order of a year.

If you need a better answer, Disney probably has the info up on the web somewhere.

It's gonna be a blast!

In case you haven't heard, Disney's unwritten motto is 'underpromise and over deliver'. That simply means that you can challenge any rule they have that will inconvenience you.

I know that our passes from last year said that they were only good for x number of days after the first use. However, you could just share a pass to use it up and save a whole one for next year. Or, you could ask them to give you a refund for the unused portion. You may get some resistance, but if you insist to speak with a manager you will usually get your way. You see Disney cannot afford to upset people. Do you know what business they are in? They are in the business of putting a smile on your face!

What i've gotten all along is that unused days on passes never expire.

Cool. I saw the site via your link. They must have gotten enough complaints about unused passes and changed their policy.

I remember the passes as having expired one year after the first use. I could be wrong.
Good Luck

The passes we receive with the Disney package are part of a youth package. The intent is that they will expire when you leave the competition. My guess is that this year's passes will expire shortly after the 26th. It is my understanding that the expiration on the passes two years ago was a mistake.
You can try to get Disney to change, but I have seen people turned away.
