Hey Folks,

I don't know who to thank, but job well done on getting FIRST on the Donnie and Marie Show and now in Sally Forth as well.

Back before the kick off meeting, we had a discussion on this forum where we said that FIRST will have 'Made It' when the stars of FIRST are invited to be guests on the Oprah Show.

Well... Donnie and Marie & Sally Forth are not exactly Oprah, but they are a step in the right direction.

Hats off from me to who ever did the work needed to get FIRST this much needed national coverage.

Joe J.

I agree 100% with Joe, it isn't Oprah but is is a very big thing. The more people know about this program the bigger it will get, and the bigger it gets the better for everyone that is involved. Maybe some day we'll have a regional in every state. Any good publicity is great for this organization, let's hope it keeps up and we'll see you all in Florida

This gives me an idea for another comic strip - Dilbert! Why didn't I think of this before - FIRST is about engineering right?
I have written to Scott Adams with ideas about crazy things that happen at work. He gets most of his ideas for the comic strip from peoples inputs. So I'll see if I can influence him to write about FIRST.

Hey. I don't wanna brag or anything. (Well maybe a little) I just want everyone to know who got FIRST into Sally Forth.

I'm from Team #57, and our Electronics Engineering also happens to write for Sally Forthe as a day job. As if FIRST isn't enough. Anyways, we all decided it'd be cool if we could get FIRST into the comic. So, FIRST got in the comic. :^)

That's why you'll see our robot pondering his endorsement options in the title panel. It's also why Team 179, our good buddies and alliance partners from Florida Regionals, are featured in the comic. Just thought everyone should know.

PS. We'll let ya know when we get booked on Oprah. :^)
