What is your team doing on April 29th?

Hi everyone-

Don't forget to make sure your team members know about our satellite broadcast of highlights from the nationals! On April 29th (Thursday after the nationals), from 5:00 - 6:00 PM EDT, we will be broadcasting a one hour show.

The show will be available to all GM dealers (Chevrolet, Pontiac, GMC, Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, and Saturn) around the country. You have to make prior arrangements with the dealer, so don't wait until the last minute to call them! Their awareness will vary, since this is a voluntary thing with them. Feel free to talk them into hosting a party for you! See the pointers for contacting the dealer on our website.

You might want to get a tape of the show from the dealer (you might even offer to run the VCR if they are not too excited about hosting a bunch of crazy kids!). The broadcast is copyrighted by GM, but anyone can use it for their FIRST team or for the promotion of FIRST. It could make a great recruiting tool for new teams from your area (because you know Dean will be giving us another homework assignment).

Since the show is being broadcast free and clear, it is available to anyone who can receive Ku band on their dish. The coordinates will be posted on our website, but here they are:
Galaxy 7 Ku-band (K-7)
transponder: 14 lower - polarity h
downlink frequency: 11976
audio: 6.2 and 6.8

See you in Florida!
Ken
