Team 34,
I saw your little page on your website about being at the National Leadership Summit in Alpine, New Jersey. That's really neat. As a scout, i always wanted to see FIRST and BSA interact somehow. I think that that is a great way to promote FIRST. I was supposed to attend that conference but i ended up not going because of other committments but i wish i could've been there.

good luck in Florida,
Tim

Thanks Tim

This conference was actually in Nashville (about 100 miles north of us).
FIRST had asked us to help out by taking our 'bot to a booth they had
set up and we were more than happy to help.

Ed

BSA, FIRST, and my eagle project

I have been involved in both FIRST and scouting for some time now and i too
have wanted to see these two fine orginizations interact in some way. I am
attempting to integrate FIRST into my eagle project by making a science fair
of sorts, with several local robots as the main attraction. This is still
in the concept phase, so if anyone has any other ideas on how to integrate
FIRST into my eagle project i would really appreciate hearing them. Thanks.

Good luck,

Doug Fischer

That's a great idea! don't worry though, i won't steal it from you
or anything. but do you live in the massachusetts area? cause if you
do i'd love to give you a hand with that if not, good luck. it's a great
idea! There's another big event coming up with over 10,000 scouts involved
in massachusetts. it's called massjam. I'm already staffing the event
but i'd love to set something up there along with other teams. it's a
huge promotion idea.

Good luck to all teams in florida,

Tim
