Attention All Present and Future Purdue Attendees
Posted by Kris VanKleek, Student on team #71, Team Hammond, from School City of Hammond and Beatty Machine and Manufacturing.
Posted on 4/25/99 4:35 PM MST Well this is my last year as a high school student in FIRST and I dont want my experience to end because of college so I have been talking it over with many people about getting Purdue university to get a team going next year. I will be calling up the dean and talking to people as soon as I know that we will have the members. If you are attending or will attend Purdue next year or if you have contacts please contact me. Thanks, Kris VanKleek #71 Beatty and Hammond |

some names to hit up while at Purdue

We (me and several others) have been working on them for a number of years now --- I think they are about to crack ;-) Good luck. Joe J. |

Re: more help for Purdue
Posted by Andy Baker, Engineer on team #45, TechnoKats, from Kokomo High School and Delphi Automotive Systems.

We could easily pack up a robot and haul it over there for a demo. Also, one of our past team members is attending Purdue. Her name is Mary Pat Stahl, a freshman EE major. Look her up! Good luck, Andy B. |

Big Ten Conference Robotics
Posted by Raul, Engineer on team #111, Wildstang, from Rolling Meadows & Wheeling HS and Motorola.

And how about the other Big Ten schools (Michigan, etc.). I could see it now - the Big Ten Conference uses FIRST as an official sport. They start giving out scholarships to high school team members to join their team. What a concept! Raul |

Like most of the students that have been in the competition for four years, they know what it is like. I might go through withdrawel. |
