Do people call it "The 'Tute"? I have never heard that, and it seems very non-specific. Just curious...

All in all it's agreat school and it even has new improved facilities since I was there. I'm a MechE grad in 1996 and the re-founding Father of the Chi Phi Fraternity on the corner of Sage and 15th St. Directly across from the Student Union. Just a comparison though RPI Engineering is highly Theory based and great for deep thinkers and teachin all the proper principles. I'm in the masters of Product Development at RIT currently and RIT is more applications based. Either way there's alot of great schools on the east coast. Happy Holidays All!

Well I googled RPI and FRC and this is the thread that popped up. Although you already know I am also in Class of 2012 and I think I will be dual majoring in Biochemistry/Biophysics and Chemistry.

So I googled FRC and RPI again and I found this thread once again. I know there are a bunch of FIRST people in our grade so we should do some collaboration or something. I was looking for what RPI did in terms of FRC because I know that there is a scholarship and we support some team somewhere. I guess ill keep looking.

RPI works with Team 20 and possibly Team 250 as well in the capital region.

Yeah. I did some more research afterwards and it seems that RPI students also work with Team 1665 and Team 1493. I am currently emailing a bunch of people to find out more. Thank you.

I got an email when I enrolled at RPI about FRC at RPI. When I emailed them in the fall, they said there was going to be a meeting after spring registration. Since then, I have heard nothing.

Yeah I emailed the contact from the RPI site about FRC and he gave me the email of another person. He said that basically its an Intro to Engineering Design class (a 15 person 2000 level class) taught by one teacher that goes to help out with a team but it was only one team. Are you a freshman?
