Re: So What'd You Get?

I got cash, which is going towards the new computer I'm building.

Heres the part list if anyone is interested.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
MSI GeForce 8600GTS NX8600GTS-T2D256E-OC Video Card (Not a fantastic card, but I don't need some $500 video card to play the few games I do play.)
MSI P6N SLI Platinum ATX Intel Motherboard
LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA
Scythe SCNJ-1100P CPU Cooling Fan (Very large)

Re: So What'd You Get?

I got some T-shirts I'd had an eye for along with a fair amount of money. (I'm currently stalking eBay for a better-than-Amazon price on a Canon Rebel XTi.) My mother's family is coming down this weekend, so the jury is still out overall.

Re: So What'd You Get?

Well, I'm not going to give a detailed list... too tedious, but I'll say some of my favorites:

My big gift was a china cabinet, which I love!
A new Harmony Kingdom box
A standing jewelry box
The new Robert Plant/Alison Krauss CD
Between the 2 of us, Eric and I got these DVD's: The Simpsons Movie, Stardust, Superbad, Shreck the Third, Balls of Fury, and Underdog.

In addition to their other gifts to us, Eric's family made donations in our names, in my name, they donated to a group that does career counseling for women in low-income/homeless situations, another donation was made to women migrant workers in Lebanon, and another donation was made to local, no-kill animal shelter.

I really need some tools for myself as i'm getting older and learning more about cars and fix it stuff. I'm not always gonna have the luxury of my dads garage and tools to use so I want to build up my collection.
