We just got a box of medals in the mail. Do all the teams get them, or just the top 48 teams. Does anyone know?

Tom Wible,
I always thought it was pronouced 'Wib-ble' and not 'Wi-ble, thanks for the clear up
Well this doesn't answer your question cause we came in 12th, but we also did get medals. I was shocked when I found out that we were getting them. I am also curious to find out what they are about

I believe all teams get the medals. It's like a FIRST souvenir.

Yes, everyone gets them. It's nice to have them in time to
present to the students at the year-end high school award ceremonies.
Gives the entire group some recognition.

Yeah, I don't know if our team has received ours this year, but in past years we've received a bunch to give out to the team, and it's probably only 25 cause FIRST has to give out sooo many, esp. this year

I'm just curious - how many did they send? Did the number sent cover your entire team? How did FIRST know how many to send?

Why do I ask - because we got our 2nd place medals at the Nationals but only half our team got to go there. So should I be expecting to get more in the mail to cover the rest of our team?
I was thinking about this on the airplane on the way home and felt bad that the rest of the team would not get a medal just because we could not afford to send them to Disney.

Raul,
Just have Lynn call the ever helpful Lori and she will do whatever is needed to take care of your team! A finalist medal is something every team member would love and deserves to get. BTW - congratulations on your run for that medal! I watched most from the comfort of the pit but you guys had some great matches during the finals. Wildstang is a class act and we were rooting for you (after we went down, of course)

We got 25 of them. It wasn't enough to cover our team, but *surprise!* you can buy more from FIRST for a mere $12/medal.
