2008 Early Game Documents Released?

Has there been any word on releasing the password protected game manuals again this year BEFORE kickoff?

So we don't overload the usfirst.org server next weekend? Wording appears on the usfirst website it says, manuals will be available after Jan 5th...seems scary to me...Hope they have enough server and bandwidth for that. I can see 1503 teams trying to download the PDFs at 12PM on Jan 5th.

Unless they plan on distributing through WindChill...

Re: 2008 Early Game Documents Released?

To be exact, game-related portions released after 1/5/08--but Section 4: Robot Transportation is due out in December (and there are only about three more days for it to be on time). No sign of an advance field BOM or an encrypted manual this year.

It seems like they would have pre-released by now, seems to be cutting it close...oh well they got one more week to do it if they decide.

In past years, they've posted the encrypted versions three days before the kickoff.

Here's the email from last year: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=50888

Re: 2008 Early Game Documents Released?

Relax, breathe easy! The game will be revealed in due course.

We're not hyperventilating from the "December gift", are we?

OK... I'm anxious too!!

I think Chris_Elston might have hit the mark with Windchill: FRC projects are already set-up with a "2008 FRC Manual" sub-folder in the "FRC General Information" folder. For the teams that have registered, the Game Manual could be easily accessed after Kick-off there.
