# of Regionals in 2000

Hey Everyone,

I'm not at liberty to divulge my sources however, they are quite credible and currently 11 regionals are
set in stone for next year with a very likely possiblity of 15.

HAVE FUN IN 2000!!!!

Justin,

Would your sources be able to divulge where these 11-15 regionals are gonna be?

Perhaps we won't have to drive 10 hours to go to a regional too far away because we got shut out of the one 5 hours away because they took it out of ManchVegas.

Okay, I was willing to let it pass once or twice, but now it is getting to be a habit.

Someone please explain to a poor bumpkin from the Midwest why Manchester has acquired this nick name.

Are casios coming to NH soon? Have they already arrived? Is there some other explanation?

Do tell...

Joe J.

The first I heard of it was by a DJ on Manchester's radio station WGIR Rock 101.1 It is of regular use by the DJ on the station and now of some of the Manchester residents.
I'm not sure where it came from in the first place but I believe the DJ started it as his nickname for Manchester just because he likes the sound.

I heard that NASA IS doing the regional in Houston next year.
The NH regional moved to Connecticut this year under UTC sponsorship. I
don't think they'll move it back to NH.

Why the 10-hr drive to New Jersey? I recall CT being limited to about
40 teams but did they max out? I'm guessing that it would only be a 2 to
4 hr drive for a lot of the teams.

All you New Englander's ever do is complain...

Let's hear it from all the people down here in Texas...where the CLOSEST regional being held was more than 15 hours (depending on where you are...more or less...) but you get the idea...
When Houston was cancelled (btw...i'm assuming/hoping NASA is planning on doing a regional in Houston again next year...) most of us were up a creek...as it is in Texas anywhere you put it is gonna be a trip for some people (but i'm near houston...so i vote leave it at NASA... so please NASA...if you're out there...hold a regional in Houston even if we only have 15 teams willing to come...we're too poor to go anywhere else

Ahh...sorry...just my personal little gripe about regionals...i'll shut up now...
