The refs did a great job at Rumble, as we all know. Keeping track of 4 robots and 4 human players is no easy task. The greatest improvement of Rumble over EPCOT, WAS THE USE OF A SET OF REFS FOR EACH FIELD. The seeding matches flew by. As I stated months ago, this is one way to get in more matches in limited time or space. In a way, this is more important than the other giant benefit that Rumble has.....YOU CAN SEE THE GAME. Maybe Disney will learn from the folks who got this country going in the FIRST place. Thanks Plymouth

Don't be too hard on FIRST. They have the hardest job of all. They've gotta do it first. Before anyone else. They have nobody to learn from. The folks at rumble did a great job, but they didn't have to start from scratch.

FIRST will learn from their mistakes this year, we've talked about it all on this page which they apparently watch very closely. Don't worry. They were trying to solve the problem of everyone standing up in the front, but they ended up making it worse. I made a decision on my team this year that had the same effect. Bad decisions happen. It’s hard to know how something’s going to work out until it’s taken place. Next year, FIRST will get the seating problem. I know it. But then we’re gonna find something else to gripe about. Then they’ll fix that. It will never be perfect...

Just think about how many things FIRST gets right. It's insane how well they organize this event. I'm so impressed with those guys.
