Robot Size- R11 vs. Inspection Checklist

R11 clearly states the starting size- 28"x38"x60" and 120 lbs. Same as prior years. When I look at the 2008 competition inspection checklist, it lists "Robot Class"- (1=4' + 120lbs, 2= 5' + 110lbs, 3+6" = 100lbs). Item #1 on the checklist refers to "class height".

I don't see any reference to "robot class" or "class height" anywhere in the manual. Did I miss something??? All of the rules referenced for item #1 don't indicate a range of heights and weights.

Re: Robot Size- R11 vs. Inspection Checklist

Most likely a mistake, I'd stick to the Rules in Secion 8 for now.

I guess housekeeping missed a few spots.

Re: Robot Size- R11 vs. Inspection Checklist

I guess you could say that housekeeping did indeed miss a spot. The concept of various weight/size classes was present in earlier pre-kickoff revs of the 2008 Robot Rules but was removed relatively recently. I didn't notice the error until this thread.

Thanks for pointing this out! I'll get this into an update ASAP.

For future reference, PLEASE consider the latest version of Section 8 to be the governing document in addition to GDC rulings on the forums. I'll do my best to ensure that the inspection documents accurately reflect the latest and greatest.
