change in trackball size

What variation in ball size would you expect at competition?

The manual says that stretching and temperature change could affect the hardness of the ball; I'm not sure whether this would significantly change the size of the ball.

I'm going to look out for a size change in the next couple days, but if anyone else tests it, we'd appreciate the data.
