Idea that could benefit everyone..

Other on team Actually, I'm a FIRST-aholic from an undecided team for the year 2000 formerly of Team #126 sponsored by Nypro and Clinton High School.

I was thinking about a subject that has come up before about FIRST listening to us, our ideas on things, etc.. and after knowing some of the topics covered at the team forum.. an idea sprouted..

what if we listened to each other?

ok..think about it.. we have these forums which are a great and well-appreciated tool for communication, discussing pros and cons etc.. but what about the basic team on-goings each year like fundraising, student travel, meetings, etc.. some teams out their have some really good set-ups that we could learn and change from and rookies could build off of..

so what if.. on the FIRST website there was a page set-up under which people could post things that work for their team and things that don't (we made team cookbooks, made a lot of money- other stuff, we barely broke even on..) catagorized under certain topics. Even if it was just a post your team's method- no response posts or threads to deal with- and attach an email address at which your team could be contacted.

This could hook-up rookies with veterens..(hey, maybe we could have a big brother kinda program for teams..more ideas..) and help us all improve and share our ideas

what's everyone thinking?? and brandon, would that be an overwhelming amount of work for someone at FIRST to upkeep..or you think it's relatively easily possible..?

i think if they wanted to -
once they got the code all worked out,
it wouldn't take that much to keep working.
