Re: RED "fork truck" robot breaks 6FT Rules in Animation

well, depends on what u do, the extending piston could reach just up to 6 ft and still knock the trackball off, the area in which the trackball rests is pretty big (around 30 inches i believe). This means that at least some part of the curvature of the ball should be below the 6.5 ft bar and within ur reach. (If it were a square or rectangle, the edge would be at exactly 6 ft) All in all, u can still hit the ball at exactly 6 ft cuz the bottom of the ball i estimate to be at least one or two inches below 6ft. That gives i think some room to play with.

This would be a penalty, not for <G36>, but for <G22>.

when I ran the field in inventor, the ball is right at or just over the 6 feet, so hitting it from the bottom is not an option, unless you hit it with the other trackball...

Re: RED "fork truck" robot breaks 6FT Rules in Animation

This issue was resolved in Update #1 - I'm closing this one in order to clean up the number of posts no longer needed.

Besides the fact, that the animation isn't an official rules interpretation.
