Re: Hurdle like Mad

Let me just start by saying that I feel this is against the spirit of the game/rules, but that does not mean mean it is not legitimate.

In this post I will try to figure out if it is legal according to the current rules.

There are several aspects to this strategy:

1)Parking in one place - If you are not IMPEDING then this should be legal. <G40>

2)does crossing the LANE DIVIDER count as passing the LANE MARKER? - This should be defined The Arena. and it is:
Quote:
A two-inch wide stripe of white gaffers tape extends down the center-line of the TRACK and under
the LANE DIVIDER. This stripe is known as the “LANE MARKER.” The LANE MARKER divides the
TRACK into two halves: the “Red Lane” and the “Blue Lane.”
This should indicate the the LANE DIVIDER and LANE MARKER are two separate things, but the LANE MARKER extends under the LANE DIVIDER and thus crossing the LANE DIVIDER would qualify as passing the LANE MARKER.

3)HURDELing - this is where you get bitten:
Quote:
HURDLE: When a TRACKBALL CROSSES a FINISH LINE while passing above the OVERPASS
and then contacts either the floor or another ROBOT before re-contacting the originating ROBOT.
it must contact the floor or another ROBOT before re-contacting the originating ROBOT.

Sorry but your strategy will not award you points!
good idea though!!!
