Hello everyone,

I did this last year and I think now would be a good time to see what everyone thinks. Last year there was a total of 269 teams last year. How mant teams do you think the First Program will have for year 2000? let's get as many guesses as we can. use an equation, use a favorite number or just make a wild guess.

The average growth rate of the last five seasons
predicts 369 teams for the upcoming season. If there are more than that then FIRST is gaining momentum.
If there are less then we should be publicising more.
This year our team is putting more effort into
publicity in the hope of inspiring new teams to form.

Using Chief Delphi math we have

the year = 2000
it is chief delphi's 5th year FIRST

2000/5 = 400 teams

400 is my guess.
