<G40> in hybrid mode

Another team member and I were wondering if a robot could be considered impeding traffic flow during autonomous mode. I haven't seen anything in the rules to specifically enumerate the situation. Personally, I don't see how there could be a potential penalty due to the limited control over the robot.

Yeah it does not say anything in the rules so i am sure you will not be penalized with that infraction....but also in autonomous you have a robot controller, so, i would ask a higher official.

Re: <G40> in hybrid mode

My team was contemplating using a autonomous mode last year that would shake the lower spider legs of the rack to make it harder for other teams to score in autonomous but one of our mentors (who also volunteers as a ref) said that it could potentially be called on a "spirit of the game violation". I think it basically means that while you can have a defensive autonomous mode, it can be interpreted by the refs as not being in the spirit of the game because it keeps other robots from scoring. I would check with a higher official or ask a question on the new FIRST forums.
