Buying Trackballs?

hey would anyone know where we would be able to buy anymore of the same trackball that came with our KOP?

2220 would like to know so we can build a playing field to practice with the noobie teams in our area

Seems to me that creating a whole new post would be clutter-some not the bumping of a thread. Give him a break.

Bumping threads

If your goal is to practice with other area teams, why don't you invite those teams to bring their own balls along with their robots? That should give you more than enough to play with.

Raikon did create a whole new post. Less than a half hour later, he replied to it himself, saying only "BUMP". That shouldn't be permitted to slide by without a word of discouragement.

Could someone please explain to me the motivation behind posting a "bump" message? It seems to me that writing something to the effect of "this is urgent, I have a definite deadline" in the original post would be more effective than responding impatiently to yourself with a content-free reply. It impresses me as being the equivalent of jumping up and down in the middle of the forum shouting "Pay attention to meeee!"

Re: Buying Trackballs?

Also, 1) please search before posting a new thread, and 2) please look for the appropriate forum; don't just put everything in the general forum. There is already a thread discussing trackball ordering in the Kit of Parts Forum, Here.

Re: Buying Trackballs?

I _think_ that the trackballs are 40" Omnikin balls.

http://www.robbinssports.com/sportin...7_250_255.html

http://www.sportsdirectsource.com/products/359

...but as they do not have the _weight_ listed, it's hard to say for sure. The 48" Omnikin ball our PE department has is approximately the same weight as the trackball, but might actually be a little lighter. The covering sack is virtually identical except for color, as is the appearance of the bladder material.

Sorry, I thought he was just bumping a previously made thread. My mistake.

Re: Buying Trackballs?

The following link is for SPORTOGO, the company that is selling FIRST Trackballs (called FIRST Robot Balls) and replacement bladders.

http://www.sportogo.com/

They are not inexpensive.
