shafts for wheelbearings

did anyone get these? or are we supposed to buy them separately?

You have to provide your own axle to mount the wheels on. The easiest solution would be bore out the kitbot holes and use Grade 8 1/2" bolts. There are already a couple other threads on here about this so you can take a look for more details on the other ideas (turning down shafts ect.)

We go to the hardware store and buy a length of 1/2 by 3/8 bore steel tubing and cut it to length as sleeves over the 3/8 bolts.

not so elegant but works.
